HOW TO FIX A BROKEN EYESHADOW
Online Fashion Store |
Online Fashion Store recommended this method for repair eyes shadow.
Do not panic, do not rush to buy it because it is super easily catchable. Considering the price we pay for these little wonders, we might as well wear them out until the end?
This is something that happens to me rather regularly since I am someone super clumsy (not to mention that sometimes we buy where we receive make-up already mistreated by La Poste).
I even have a small dedicated box where I store my broken eyeshadows awaiting repair.

The solution is very simple and this time I thought of taking a few photos to show you the protocol, with my adored Satin Taupe from MAC (years since it is in the top 5 of my favorite eyeshadows).
This tip will allow you to repair any pressed eyeshadow, eye shadow, blush powder, tinted powder.
Equipment
You would need very little equipment and the good news is that you already have everything close at hand.
- your eyeshadow/crumb
- 70% alcohol 90%
- a handkerchief/towel
- a coin
- a teaspoon
The Tutorial: How to fix a broken eyeshadow?

First of all, we end the carnage by reducing the rest of the powdered eyeshadow. I usually do this by putting a tissue over it and pressing with the back of a very small spoon.
Then I pour a few drops of 70 or 90% alcohol, and I stir: the goal is to obtain a small smooth paste.

Then, I put a handkerchief (or a paper towel, personally I like to take a fine handkerchief so that the result is smooth) and over it I affix a coin. That of 2 € is perfect for a MAC eyeshadow.
I press gently, I remove the piece, the handkerchief and I let it dry. The alcohol binds the powder particles and eventually evaporates. Hope we get a pressed eyeshadow like new:

And important thing: you don't lose in quality or pigmentation.

A small clarification concerning the size of the piece because as you know the eyeshadows or blushes or powders are absolutely not the same size.
I happened to repair a Guerlain blush or sun powder: in this case, we walk a piece along the container to flatten it as well as possible. It is not necessary to find the exact size, even if it gives the most perfect result!
You can also improvise: I have sometimes realized that the back of a piece of jewelry that I had was exactly the same circumference as the blush that I was repairing. Hop, put on a handkerchief, I used it to press this blush. No matter what you use, it's not in direct contact with the eyeshadow.

Well, it's been a long time since I wanted to give you this little tutorial, I imagine that most of you already knew the trick but it could perhaps save the life of a few more eyeshadows
